    One person is arrested after a police chase that blocked multiple lanes of traffic on Interstate 35E in Lewisville for more than an hour Thursday morning, authorities say. (Feb. 26, 2015)

    One person was arrested after a police chase ended on Interstate 35E in Lewisville Thursday morning, authorities said.

    McKinney police said officers tried to stop a driver heading the wrong direction on the U.S. 75 frontage road near Wilmeth Road. The driver fled and officers began pursuit.

    Texas Department of Public Safety troopers joined McKinney police in the pursuit that ended on southbound I-35E near West Frankford Road at about 5 a.m.

    One person was taken into custody, according to authorities.

    Lewisville police closed all but one lane of southbound I-35E until about 6:45 a.m. while crews loaded a pickup truck and a McKinney Police Department vehicle onto tow trucks.

    No injuries have yet been reported.
