A teenage girl who was abducted at gunpoint outside her home Sunday is safe, police say.
Fort Worth police said Mirella Collazo returned home alone Monday evening. She was not hurt, police said.
Erika Collazo, the girl's sister, said the family saw her walking by herself.
"We don't know if they dropped her off, or if she was walking, or what happened," she said. "We just got down and hugged her. We were happy to see her."
Police said 16-year-old Larry Sigala's family called police a short time later and said the boy was going to turn himself in. Police took him into custody at his parents' house.
Sigala, the girl's former boyfriend, confronted Mirella Collazo while she and a male companion sat in a car outside her home near the seminary at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday, investigators said. Police said Sigala approached the car, shot the boy in the head and forced Collazo into his truck.
Erika Collazo told the Star-Telegram that her sister and Sigala began dating in January but had ended their relationship a few days ago.

Sigala, accompanied by another young man whose name has not been released, then allegedly drove off with Collazo.
An Amber Alert was issued late Sunday evening and was canceled Monday after Mirella Collazo returned home.
The teenage boy who was in car with Collazo died at about 11:30 a.m. Monday at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, police said. His name was not immediately released.
Police were interviewing Collazo and Sigala on Monday night.
