Dallas County confirmed the thirteenth death after a patient contracted West Nile virus.
Dallas County Health and Human Services says the patient lived in zip code 75089 and was diagnosed with the neuroinvasive form of the disease.
Due to patient confidentiality, no further information is expected to be released.
As of Aug. 29, over 319 people have been sickened by West Nile virus in Dallas County. Over 780 have contracted the virus across North Texas this summer.
