Tarrant County Records 6th Heat-Related Death

Tarrant County is reporting its 6th heat-related death of the summer Thursday.

Gilbert Giles, 63, of Fort Worth, died Saturday.

The Tarrant County medical examiner said Giles died of heart disease and heat exhaustion.

Temperatures reached 107 degrees the day Giles died.

In Dallas County, the deaths of 16 people have been declared heat-related this summer.
