First Amen Free Clinic in Dallas Brings in Hundreds of People

Hundreds of people in North Texas came out to a medical clinic hosted by AMEN Free Clinic on Sunday. AMEN stands for Adventist Medical Evangelism Network.

The clinic offered free medical services including dental procedures, vision exams, skin cancer screenings, and basic physicals.

They also had counselors available for anyone looking for diet and lifestyle help.

This is the first time for an AMEN Free Clinic to come to Dallas.

On Saturday, the clinic was specifically open for anyone affected by Hurricane Harvey and in need of medical attention.

“We had all these patients down at the convention center who need so much. Clearly a lot need dental, but people lost glasses in the flood, and it was an opportunity to take care of them,” said Malcolm Cole, the logistics coordinator for the clinic.

Sunday was the final day the clinic was open in Dallas. The clinic at 4009 North Central Expressway closes at 4 p.m.
