Dallas County Reports Two New Influenza-Associated Deaths

Dallas County released its latest report of flu-related illnesses on Friday, confirming two new additional adult flu-related deaths.

Dallas County Health and Human Services released it report for week ending Jan. 25. The report shows that two more people have died from influenza-like illness, with one unconfirmed death possibly related to the flu.

Health officials have not released any information regarding the latest victims.

As of Friday, the death toll for the county stands at 42, pending one unconfirmed flu-related death.

The latest report out of Dallas County comes after Tarrant County reported its eighth influenza-associated death and Denton County reported its sixth flu-related death.

Health departments across North Texas state that this year's flu-season has peaked, yet, the death toll continues to rise.
