A second person had died in Plano after contracting West Nile virus, officials with the Collin County Health Department say.
For now, no other information on the victim has been released other than that they were a previously reported case of West Nile Neuroinvasive Disease.
According to the city, 28 people have been infected with West Nile virus in the city -- or 1 out of evert 9,643 Plano residents.
To date, Collin County has reported 72 cases of the disease and four fatalities.
