Children's Medical Center is developing a pediatric specialty care center in Southlake along state Highway 114.
According to a news release, the new center will offer a variety of outpatient services including pediatric cardiology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, sports medicine and many others.
The facility will also include a family resource center which is described as a place where parents can access the latest information on children's health issues and treatments.
"At Children's Medical Center we want to make sure all children in our surrounding communities have access to the very best care. Our best-in-class medical staff is paving the way for better, more effective treatment for our patients, and our expansion into Southlake underscores that commitment," said Trent Smith, senior vice president of network development for Children's Medical Center.
Children's Medical Center has been named one of the nation's top 10 pediatric hospitals by US News and World Report. The center is expected to open mid-summer, 2011.
