Rents are currently on the rise in the DFW area and renters will feel the heat depending on the zip code.
According to a new report from analysts at Apartment List, rent prices are creeping up throughout cities in Dallas, Collin and Tarrant counties. There were, however, areas that saw a drop in cost for monthly rent.
Dallas County
In one year, the average cost of rent for a two bedroom in Dallas went up 0.5 percent to $1,110.
Rent in Duncanville remained steady at $1,270.
A two bedroom in Carrollton jumped 3.6 percent to $1,370, and in Mesquite rent rose to 3.4 percent to $1,330.

Collin County rent prices were also on the move, but in a different direction.
On average, rent for a two bedroom in McKinney went down 2.7 percent to $1,400.
The rent in Frisco went down 0.1 percent but a two bedroom will still cost you on average $1,580. Plano saw rent increase 0.8 percent to $1,430.
Tarrant County
The biggest surprises were in Tarrant County. Over the past year, rent for a two bedroom in Fort Worth went up 1.1 percent to $1,140. Fort Worth is slightly above Dallas, but lower than other big cities in Texas.
North Richland Hills increased 1.3 percent to $1,330.
Bedford went up 1.4 percent to $1,250.
Arlington jumped 2.4 percent to $1,220.
The biggest leap this year was in Hurst at 3.6 percent to $1,110 and in Euless at 3.8 percent to $1,220.
The City of Flower Mound sits in Tarrant and Denton counties. Rent went down 0.2 percent, but it is still the most expensive out of any city in North Texas. The average price for a two bedroom in Flower Mound is $2,270.
Nationwide, rent increased 1.2 percent. In Texas, the state average is 1.9 percent. You can fine the complete list here.
