SWA Adds Fee to In-Flight Internet Access

Southwest currently offers in-flight Internet access on four aircraft

Southwest Airlines said they plan to charge up to $12 for Internet access on flights.

The Dallas-based airline said the actual price of the service will depend on the length of the flight as well as the device the passenger is using to access the Internet.

Southwest currently offers Internet access on four of their aircraft.

The airline said they would begin imposing the fee beginning Wednesday. They have been testing in-flight Internet access for several months free of charge.
