Market Street, United Supermarkets' world-class food concept store, has opened the hiring process for its newest Dallas-Fort Worth-area location, bringing more than 350 job opportunities to North Texas.
Market Street's new Plano store, located at W. Park Blvd. and Preston Road, is scheduled to open April 1.
Market Street Plano is the all-in-one grocer's fourth DFW store to open in the past 14 months and sixth since 2003. The recent North Texas growth initiative has brought more than 1,600 new positions to the area.
In preparation for the new store opening Market Street will host a job fair Feb. 18 through March 6 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church's Wesley Hall, 5801 W. Plano Pkwy, in Plano.
"We are thrilled that Market Street can provide so many job opportunities to the North Texas community during these tough times," said Ashly Gann, regional talent manager for United Supermarkets, LLC. "Our team members help complete the Market Street shopping experience. It's the only place where you can discover value-priced groceries and hard-to-find specialty items in a friendly, neighborhood environment."
Company officials will take applications and conducting interviews for all full- and part-time positions. The interview schedule is Monday-Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon.
