Just like the cooler temperatures, the price of gasoline is dropping across North Texas.
The average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline has dropped 14 cents over the past two weeks.
The Lundberg Survey of fuel prices released Sunday says the price of a gallon of regular is $3.38. Midgrade costs an average of $3.58 a gallon, and premium is $3.71.
Diesel was down 4 cents at $3.92 gallon.
Of the cities surveyed in the Lower 48 states, St. Louis has the nation's lowest average price for gas at $3.01. San Francisco has the highest at $3.88.
The average price of a gallon of gas is hovering around $3.07 a gallon in both Tarrant and Dallas Counties. That's almost 30 cents cheaper than the national average.
But NBC 5 found several gas stations that are selling below $3 a gallon, including the Quick Stop on East Belknap at Hudgins Avenue in Fort Worth where gas is $2.96 a gallon.

Managers of service stations say low gas prices help their bottom line.
"When they stop to get gas outside, they come inside and grab a soda or a six-pack of beer or cigarettes and that helps our volume," said gas station manager Mohammad Hussain.
