American Eagle to Establish Headquarters in Irving

American Eagle Airlines will consolidate their operations in a new headquarters to be established in Irving.

The regional carrier will be renamed Envoy on April 15, 2014, but will continue to fly under the brand of American Eagle as a part of the new American Airlines structure.

American Eagle's teams in North Texas have been working out of various buildings around Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, but the centralization in the new headquarters in Irving will be the first time in the carrier's 16-year history that all management, operations and training teams in the area will be in the same building.

"Irving was the ideal location for us to establish our headquarters because of its central location in North Texas, as well as the easy access it provides to DFW Airport and other transportation options for our employees working at and visiting our headquarters," said Pedro FΓ‘bregas, President and CEO of American Eagle Airlines, in a news release. "Our new headquarters is a modern and centrally located space that will allow us to continue improving the collaboration and communication between our teams, which will ultimately better serve our more than 14,000 employees working throughout our system."

The new HQ will occupy two buildings on Regent Boulevard in Irving after current tenant, Epsilon, vacates the building for another home.

More than 600 American Eagle employees will come together in the Irving location for a four-year lease agreement. The city is toasting the move, calling it a "success," and saying the move will bring $2.4 million in taxable property to the area.
