Second Houston College Shooting Suspect Arrested in Plano

The state-wide manhunt for an alleged college campus gunman ended in North Texas Friday morning.

U.S. Marshals have been looking for Trey Foster, 22, since the shooting Tuesday at Lone Star College near Houston. Friday, investigators found him in Plano, 250 miles away.

Investigators took Foster into custody at a home in Plano in the 1500 block of E. Park Boulevard.
U.S. Marshals said good, old-fashioned police work helped hunt him down.

Records show Foster has lived in North Texas, both in Denton and Carrollton. Police are not revealing Foster’s connection to people who live in the Plano home where Marshals said they found Foster and a pistol.

The U.S. Marshal’s office is still investigating if it’s the same gun used in Tuesday’s shooting.

Two men who answered the door at the Plano home, but didn’t identify themselves, are defending Foster.

“He’s innocent. He’s a good guy,” they told NBC 5.

Investigators said Foster fired at least 10 shots on the Houston-area campus Tuesday. Foster apparently bumped into a man and the two started arguing. Witnesses said Foster opened fire and wounded three people.

Foster’s friend, Carlton Berry has already been arrested in connection to the shooting.

Foster admitted he knew Berry, but that’s about all he said as he was booked into jail back in Houston Friday morning. He’s now facing charges for aggravated assault.

Foster will be transported to Harris County, where he will face two felony counts of aggravated assault.
