Fort Worth SWAT Ends Standoff Peacefully

Fort Worth SWAT officers were called to a house on the 2800-block of Weisenberger Street Wednesday morning after people inside the home refused to come out and talk to officers.

Fort Worth police said officers responded to a disturbance call at the home at about 9:15 a.m.  where someone reported that a roommate was making threats and some of the people in the home may have had warrants.

Upon arrival, police said three people in the house came outside, but that others were visible inside and refused to come out.  Officers also learned that one person inside the home was hiding in the attic.

SWAT was called to the scene to assist.

Everyone inside the home eventually came out, except for the person in the attic who remained there for the duration. Officers learned that none of the people had warrants, including the person who, for some reason, was still hiding in the attic.

Though there may have been a minor scuffle among the roommates, officers left the scene without making any arrests.

NBC 5's Kevin Stewart contributed to this report.
