Missing Man Found at Local Hospital

Dallas police say a person with diminished mental capacity reported missing has been found safe.

According to police, 24-year-old Kenneth Barahona-Nuñez had been admitted to a local hospital under a different name.  A nurse saw the missing person's report issued Thursday, and accompanying photograph, and identified the man in the photo as one of their patients.

Dallas police arrived at the hospital a short time later and verified the man's identity as Nuñez.

Police issued the missing person's report Thursday morning, saying Nuñez had not been seen after leaving his residence on Park Lane at about 10 p.m. Oct. 6.  Police said Nuñez has the mental capacity of a 9-year-old and has difficulties communicating, making the search for him urgent.

The Dallas Police Department said Nuñez was unharmed and that his family has been notified he has been found.
