Late Tuesday night the Garland Police Department canceled an Amber Alert for a 2-year-old girl police believed may have been in danger.
Police said they found 2-year-old Maliyah Vergenz and 38-year-old Patricia Garcia at a motel in Terrell.
Police said police in Terrell spotted a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus in the parking lot of the Villager Motel at U.S. Highway 80 and Spur 557. Officers took Garcia into custody without incident.
Maliyah was rescued and police said she was in good condition, she was returned to her parents.
Garland police said Vergenz was abducted by her babysitter earlier Tuesday. They were concerned for Vargenz's safety because Garcia was distraught over the recent loss of a pregnancy and was refusing to return home with the little girl.
Police said the pair were last seen in the 4900-block of Palo Alto Drive in Garland. Garland police said officers had phone contact with the babysitter earlier Tuesday but she stopped communication.
Officers had been searching locations hoping to find her but had no luck and turned to the public for help locating them.

Garcia is in the Garland Jail charged with kidnapping. Her bond has been set at $50,000.
Editor's Note: Garland Police first reported the vehicle involved as a Chrysler Aspire, police revised it to be a Chrysler Aspen, then revised it again to be a Dodge Aspen. Late Tuesday night police said they were looking for a 1998 Ford Aspire -- NBC 5 viewers pointed out that make and model was not in production after 1997. In the police department's final news release about the incident they reported the car was a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus.
