“OctoDad”: I Did It for Love

Suleman denies man's claims. He says he wants to help her.

The man who claims to be the mystery sperm donor who made Nadya “Octomom” Suleman’s parental dreams come true said he thought that her requests were “out of the ordinary,” but he did it anyway for love.

Alleged “Octodad” Denis Beaudoin made the statements in an interview with ABC’s Good Morning America aired this morning, where he said he and Suleman had a “serious” three-year relationship from 1997 to 1999.

“I cared about her so much,” Beaudoin told GMA. “And I mean, we were, we were in love. I mean, I loved Nadya very much.

Calling Suleman “a really great girl,” he said his friends nicknamed her “Giggles.”

“She really had a really infectious laugh,” said Beaudoin. “You know, just her laugh would, it would make you crack up. It’s kind of like she had a real high-pitch, cartoon voice. And you know, she was a lot of fun to be around. Just her whole bubbly outward personality was really, really cool.”

Suleman denied that Beaudoin is the father, Radar Online reported, but he told ABC he donated sperm once at the fertility clinic and twice more gave her sperm at home that she carried to the fertility clinic in a container -- keeping it warm by tucking it between her breasts.

"That guy is definitely not the father of my kids," she told Radar. "I know who the father is and I can tell you it is definitely not him."

Beaudoin said that when Suleman first asked him for donations she told him she had ovarian cancer and was unable to conceive naturally.

"I can't take everything she says for granted," said Beaudoin. "I mean when she initially told me the whole reason why, for donating sperm in the first place, you know was to get pregnant because she was not going to be able to have kids. And, you know, has turned into this."

Despite being “shocked,” and saying that Suleman seems like a different person, Beaudoin, who is now married with two sons of his own, said he is ready to help her.

“Either which way, you know, know that if she needs it I’ll lend a helping hand,” he said. “She needs help. I mean it’s hard. It’s hard nowadays to raise two kids, let alone 14.”
