What You're Doing Tonight: Tuesday, June 9

Leatherbag plays, Sons hosts dancing and local comics perform

HURRICANE ROCK: Displaced to Austin from Houston after Rita, the fellows of Leatherbag have found the right place for their thrashy, bespectacled brand of bossy Lou Reed blues-rock. The bill they headline in Denton tonight ain't a bad spot to be in, either -- Delmore Pilcrow and Dallas Observer Music Award nominees RTB2 warm up with oodles of energy. Rubber Gloves, 9PM.

DANCE HALL: Blues 'n' the Night at Sons of Hermann Hall puts a rare all-ages spin on the Deep Ellum weekday. A DJ links comers up with classic tunes and intermittent dance lessons keep them moving, all in the quintessentially Texan lodge staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers for the sake of a good time. 8PM - midnight.

FUNNY MASHUP: Johnny Elbow and Richard Houghton are among the mainstays of the Dallas comedy circuit set to perform at Second Tuesday Comedy. For those who can't come out, the latter comic shares this list to help you be productive during your stay at home.  Absolute Rehearsal Studio, 8PM.
