What You're Doing Tonight: May 7

THE HAPPY MOUNTAIN: Mount Righteous is 11 members of fun, happy music straight out of Grapevine. They've been lauded by nearly everyone for their perky tunes, and, let's face it, we need some perky, happy tunes right now. Check out the band at Rubber Gloves in Denton at 9 p.m.

EMERALD CITY ON THE EMERALD TURF: Deep in Allen, there's a movie screening perfect for the family that wants to break out the picnic gear. Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm is blowing up a two-story inflatable screen at dusk and screening "The Wizard of Oz." Unfortunately, lawn chairs and coolers are no-nos for the event, but you'll be able to visit some nearby eateries -- including delicious Paciugo gelato.

WE DIG DOUG: Doug Burr is on our "next best thing" list for his folk-Americana sensibilities we just expect will appear on the silver or big screen when some A&R guy is looking to score his next Hollywood production. Check him out live at Lola's in Fort Worth starting at 10 p.m.

TWEET LOCAL - WIN BIG: Centro-matic is back at the Granada for the start of a seven city tour -- but that's not the interesting part. They'll be answering questions live on Twitter from 7 to 8 p.m. (@centromatic) from the venue itself. Also at the show, you can enter a contest to get either (A) a private show from Will Johnson or (B) Every Centro-matic album ever made and two tickets to every show they play ever. Seriously? Wow.
