What You're Doing Tonight

Black Crowes, 90s Rock, and 80s covers

MAYBE YOU HEARD THEM IN COLLEGE
Jackopierce was all over college radio in the '90s, and now they're playing the H.O.B. in their hometown of Dallas tonight at 7:30 pm. It's more than just a homecoming, though, as they're playing the show as a CD Release party for their latest "Promise of Summer." (More Info)

CAW CAW!
The Black Crowes play the Palladium Ballroom at 7:00 pm. When they take the stage, we dare you to yell "How you doin' Mr. Kate Hudson?" at front-man Chris Robinson. See, it's funny, cause like, they broke up in 2006, and he's like...a rock star, not just a house dad, ya know? *sigh* (More Info)

SEE RHETT MILLER FOR CHARITY
Old '97s lead singer Rhett Miller plays a benefit show tonight at the Granada for the BreathEasy Concert Series in support of finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. We'd recommend this show if it was just Rhett Miller playing, but since it's a charity show, too...we're giving it our rare DOUBLE RECOMMEDATION. Show starts at 7:00 pm. (More Info)

POCKET PROTECTOR RECOMMENDED
The Spazmatics play the Loft at 8:30. Three reasons to go: $10 tickets, 80s covers, and synchronized hopping. High-energy and all the songs you like to listen to on Jack-FM. (More Info)

THEY'RE "POPULAR"
Nada Surf has sorta been relegated to one hit wonder status after the hit "Popular" back in '96. We prefer "Always Love," but to each his own. Back on topic, Nada Surf plays Hailey's tonight at 8:00 pm. Should be a cool show to be at. (More Info)

TOAD SINGER SOLO
Former Toad the Wet Sprocket lead singer Glen Phillips plays an "intimate evening" show tonight at 7:30 at the Rock House Film Studio. Here's some more on Glen Phillips. Here's more on the event (More Info)
