Simply Positive is much more than a motto for Susan Pielsticker.
"It's my philosophy in life, actually -- though it's also part of my brand. I always start my mornings by reminding myself, 'I can. I will. I am.' because having that affirmation never fails to give me strength," Pielsticker says.
That very mantra became the guiding force behind her jewelry and accessory label, Mi Energia. Her uber-cool designs prove that the writer and life-coach has found her own considerable talent while helping lead others to theirs.
Pielsticker's versatile jewelry pieces in leather and brushed metals are the lines' signature. And her unique outlook on life has made it's mark on the collection as well, as many of the quirky charms in the label are stamped with her tag lines - "I can. I will. I am." and "Simply Positive." Most of the pieces are fully reversible or convertible; our current favorite is a leather bracelet with an embellished, frog charm that is also wearable as a headband or short necklace when unwound from the wrist.
Mi Energia is ushering in the holidays with the addition of beaded necklaces and bracelets in semi-precious stones like onyx and amethyst. Our pick from the new offerings is the onyx necklace with oval, naturally-shaped stones and leather ties that converts between long and short lengths. Don't miss Pielsticker's scarves and bags as well; we adore the black and white "I Am" scarf for it's rich charcoal look.
Pielsticker -- who prefers sleek silhouettes like the simple, strapless black jumpsuit from Intermix she wore for our interview -- knows the strength of her label is it's bold yet wearable appeal.
"I wear my jewelry with cocktail looks from Tadashi or jeans and a ball cap, and I think that's what my fans like the most," Pielsticker says.
But beyond the aesthetics of her obviously gorgeous label, she hopes women will be inspired when they wear Mi Energia.
"The highest compliment someone could give me is to tell me that one of my pieces is their good luck charm; I so want for women to draw motivation and power from wearing my label."
