A statement from police in Texarkana, Texas , says 23-year-old Kaitlin Lee died Wednesday a few hours after being shot in the head.
Police spokesman Shawn Vaughn says Investigators say a Northeast Texas woman has died after being struck by an apparent stray bullet in gunfire blamed on a disturbance involving about 20 juveniles.
Investigators do not believe the Texarkana woman, who died at a hospital, was part of Tuesday night's disturbance.
Police received a 911 call about some juveniles and an unspecified disturbance, with shots fired and the youths fleeing.
Officers were responding when a second 911 call came in about a woman discovered wounded in an alley. Vaughn says Lee was likely struck by a stray bullet.
Detectives are trying to identify the juveniles. No one has been arrested.
