Ten out of Tenn, The "ambassadors of Nashville indie-pop," bring their 10-band-strong collective to Dallas' The Loft on Sunday night before heading to Austin for SXSW.
The collective is made up of Garland-native Erin McCarley along with Jeremy Lister, KS Rhoads, Matthew Perryman Jones, Trent Dabbs, Katie Herzig, Butterfly Boucher, Griffin House, Tyler James and Andy Davis.
The interesting thing about this show is that you have a variety of independent artists on the stage at any given moment, either singing their songs, backing up vocals for another or playing an instrument.
The bad thing is that with so many artists playing a venue, you don't hear as much material from an artist you may favor. That's a small price to pay for what should be an incredible night of live music.
In other cities, the collective has been described as a showcase of musical diversity and an "indie supergroup" that is likely to leave listeners spellbound.
So far, the group of indie artists have released three compilations, the latest being a Christmas offering of both traditional and original holiday tunes.
The Loft is located at 1135 S. Lamar in Dallas. Tickets are still available for Sunday's show. Call 214-928-9844 for more information, or visit The Loft online at their Web site, theloftdallas.com.
