We popped into Tei An last week to sample some of owner Teiichi Sakurai’s handmade soba noodles and to check out their new rooftop patio. A private elevator gave us a very VIP feeling as we were whisked up a few flights to the new hangout. There’s a fireplace and room for about fifty well-dressed friends who want to drink in the view of downtown.
Tei-An customers who dine in can access the lounge after dinner and members have access to the rooftop at any time. Rooftop service includes light bites and cocktails from 5:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Tei-An also offers annual and lifetime memberships for frequent customers. Member benefits include discounts on dinner; drink specials, VIP services and exclusive Tei-An offers through out the year.
The new view as offered by Teiichi and company (bar manager Yosuke Fukuda) is a welcome addition to Dallas’ patio scene.
