Left Winger recalled to join club

The Dallas Stars announced Monday they recalled left wing Chris Conner from the Peoria Rivermen in the American Hockey League.

Conner, 25, has posted 10 goals and six assists for 16 points in 17 games with Peoria this season, leading the club in goals and placing second in points. Conner skated with Dallas on Oct. 31 at Chicago, going scoreless.

The native of Westland, Mich., has appeared in 34 career NHL games with the Stars, notching four goals and four assists for eight points with 10 penalty minutes. The 5-8, 180-pound left wing made his Stanley Cup Playoff debut in Game Three of the Western Conference Finals vs. Detroit last spring.

Conner had a stellar career at Michigan Tech University, leaving as the school's all-time leader in shorthanded goals (15) and ranking 19th among goal-scorers in MTU history with 69 tallies. He was named to the 2004 WCHA Second All-Star Team.
