Stanley Korshak Ushers In Spring

Can you think of a better way to spend your snow day than watching gorgeous gowns from Carolina Herrera parade down Stanley Korshak's runway? Neither can we, and we were lucky enough to get a backstage peek at the models, mayhem, and major fashion that was the 27th annual St. Valentine's Day Luncheon benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The best of Korshak's Spring collections were on display, and our favorites were definitely the heavily beaded pieces by THEIA and fun frocks by Ruffian and Giambattista Valli.  Snakeskin stilettos by Alexandre Birman also caught our eye. Still, no collection shone more brightly than featured designer Carolina Herrera whose evening gowns concluded the runway presentation

Who else was spotted checking out the fashion? A documentary crew from Parsons were filming the experience for an interactive textbook followed Jan Strimple Productions through every phase of the execution of the event, recording it for a course on fashion production.

The biggest gossip of the morning was Guy Mezger's rumored appearance on the runway. To fill you in, the UFC great walked the runway in high style in a light blue pinstriped suit by Ermenegildo Zegna, and we spotted him backstage hanging with Stubbs Davis, also in Zegna, who is our pick for best-dressed among the marvelous men who charmed on the catwalk.

If you missed the runway show, pop into Stanley Korshak at 500 Crescent Court to do some Spring shopping of your own.
