Sip Potables at Five Sixty, Libertine

While we're mostly concerned with what's on the plate at restaurants across the city—wine, beer, and booze are equally important, especially over the weekend. Each Friday, for your drinking pleasure, we'll highlight notable events placing potables on a pedestal.

Drink for a good cause at Five Sixty next Tuesday, May 17. Chefs Patton Robertson and Hiroyuki “Fuji” Fujino will host a multi-course dinner with sake pairings benefitting Red Cross Japanese Disaster Relief. Cost is $155 per person. Call 214-741-5560 to book.

If you prefer vino to sake, consider Mignon's monthly Triple Threat Thursday wine tasting on May 19. Select red wines will be offered alongside small plates prepared by chef James Sleeth. No ressies are required; just show up at the bar between 5 and 7 p.m. with $15 in tow.

Looking ahead to May 25, chef Taylor McCreary of The Libertine Bar will host a five-course, seasonal produce-centric dinner paired with American craft beers. Call 214-824-7900 to reserve a spot for $50. [The Feast]
