Shop Hopping in Oak Cliff

Oak Cliff is a mecca of cool and plays home to Dallas hot spots like Lucia and the Belmont Hotel. Of course, the shopping keeps pace with the dining and nightlife destinations, and we're sharing our picks for the top boutiques in the area. See if your favorite made the list.

Recent stops at IndieGenius and smaller venues like Onli and Zola's yielded great finds. The boutique selection at artist's collective, IndieGenius, is slowly expanding, and we fell for jewelry by THEM Folk and clothing and bags by Meg Morgan. Vintage finds from Stash also make the cut.

Onli is a must-visit in Oak Cliff because owner Audrie Mills is as delightful as the clothing she sells. The shop features her own designs for men and women, in addition to other Dallas lines like NV Couture. T-shirts hand painted by Mills' son were a standout, as were Mills' maxi-skirt pieces.

Zola's Everyday Vintage is dependable for it's selection of well-priced vintage finds, and we were thrilled to make our visit during their 50% off sale on all coats and winter apparel. Shop now for some great suede and camel-hair jackets.

We finished our excursion with stops at Ouch!, Epiphany, Indigo, and Fete-ish. Ouch! has an unusual name and stocks unique, often  one-of-a-kind pieces from all over the world, with a focus on South American designers. We adored the cool tops from Argentinean label, CocoLove.

Epiphany carries a diverse selection of goods ranging from lingerie to handbags, and a lace top by Trinity caught our eye. But the item we coveted most was a plaid carryall by vegan label Matt and Nat.

Indigo is already well known for it's cool aesthetic and designer offerings, and as usual, we found lots to love. The best fitting leather pants we've seen from BlackNYC, tweed clutches from Glenda Gies, and cream tunics by French Connection were among our choices.

Fete-ish has stocks an array of items, most for the home, but the rubber cowboy boots in colorful snakeskin prints put them on our list. We've never seen a chicer way to brave the rain!
