Resto Round-Up: Bar Céline and Patio Grill

Two new Dallas watering holes and the return of a dynamic Deep Ellum duo

RAISE A GLASS:

Bar Céline

1921 Henderson Ave., Dallas

214-824-3343

Bar Céline, companion watering hole to Henderson hotspot Park, officially opened November 17th.  Sure to draw the same ‘see and be seen’ scenesters as its sister restaurant, Céline features a live DJ on the weekends and a tempting menu of specialty cocktails and bites.  We can personally vouch for the Grilled Spring Harvest Onions and Romesco dipping sauce, and nobody can resist Chef Marc Cassel’s ginger perfumed mussels.  Wash it all down with a Velvet Underground (Mount Gay Dark Rum, Velvet Fallernum, pineapple and ginger ale) or a Midnight Drive (Laird’s Applejack Brandy, lemon and Park’s own honey).  Make a night of it Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7-12 and Thursday through Saturday from 7-2 a.m.

Patio Grill
3403 McKinney Ave., Dallas
214-720-3838

Over in Uptown, Manager Johnny Oliva confirms that the new Patio Grill isn’t letting this cold snap cramp its style.  Heaters keep the resto’s namesake deck nice and warm for enjoying one of eight beers on tap or a cocktail from the full bar.  Oliva describes Patio Grill’s menu as a selection of “traditional bar food”, including wings and hand-tossed pizzas.  (He’s particularly proud of the signature stuffed burgers.)  The Patio’s open from 4-2 a.m. Monday through Friday and from 11-2 a.m. on the weekends.

BLAST FROM THE PAST:

Speaking of nights on the town, we learned from Pegasus News earlier this week that Club DaDa and The Green Room will soon reappear in Deep Ellum.  Click here for details and stay tuned for updates.
