Two very different DFW businesses are taking synergy to a slightly strange level -- Jamak Fabrication in Weatherford, part of the largest silicone manufacturing lines in the world, and Reata Restaurant, the legendary Texas cuisine with locations in Fort Worth and Alpine, are coming together to make bakeware.
Though the businesses are on odd ends of the spectrum -- Jamak makes wiper blades and oven gaskets, mainly -- there's something they have in common beyond their North Texas roots -- both are owned by Fort Worth's entrepreneurial Micallef family.
Mike Micallef, president of Reata Restaurants, says, “The Reata Restaurant team is proud to partner with our sister company, Jamak Fabrication. We believe in providing first-class food, service and products for our customers, and are confident that home chefs will be very pleased with this long-lasting line of bakeware.”
According to the press materials (and the web site where you can already buy the pieces) the line features three core baking pieces -- a 9" round cake pan, a standard loaf pan, and a 6 cup muffin pan for $49.98 as a complete set.
