Hungry for more choices at the ballpark?
The Texas Rangers on Tuesday announced some tasty new additions to the ballpark menu.
Just in time for National Hot Dog Day, the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington has introduced the Taco Dog, an all-beef hot dog in a crispy taco shell topped with taco meat, shredded cheese, lettuce, sour cream and jalapenos -- all served in a toasted sausage roll.
The Taco Dog is now available at the Casa De Fuego concession stand located behind home plate.
Also available at the home plate concession stand are two new choices named for Rangers first baseman Mitch Moreland.
Inspired by Moreland's love of wild game, the Mitchwich Wild features a ground buffalo, elk and chorizo patty topped with bacon, jalapenos, a back-bean spread and fried onions served on a sourdough bun with a side of potato chips.
If you're craving a more mainstream sandwich, the Mitchwich Mild offers an elk burger patty topped with bacon, tomatoes, baby arugula and Colby jack cheese served on a sourdough bun with a side of potato chips.
The Moreland-themed sandwiches join the ranks of other Ranger-themed food, including the Boomstick, which is named for outfielder Nelson Cruz; the 24-ounce Beltre Buster hamburger inspired by third baseman Adrian Beltre; and the Totally Ross-some Nachos named for relief pitcher Robbie Ross.
