One person is dead following a crash involving a motorcycle Sunday night on Interstate 45 in South Dallas, police say.
Dallas police said a man parked his Harley Davidson on the left inside shoulder on I-45 above Linfield Road when he was struck by a black Honda Accord at about 7:48 p.m.
Police said they believe the man who was struck was picking something up in the left lane of the highway. He was thrown onto the shoulder and pronounced dead at the scene.
The service round on the northbound side of I-45 was closed from East Ledbetter Drive to East Illinois Avenue while police investigated the crash.
