The new Einstein Bros. at Preston and Royal officially opened its doors this morning to a line of customers that stretched around the building. Starting at 5:30 a.m., they gave away 52 free breakfast sandwiches (one per week for a year) to the first 100 customers who arrived—that's approximately $250 worth of bagels. We arrived right at 5:30 a.m., thinking we'd definitely score a year long supply, but we were sorely mistaken. The store manager told us people started lining up at 6:30 last night. Sorry, but we'd rather shell out $4.75 for a bagel than camp out in a kiddie tent for 12 hours. [The Feast]
