Movie Review: Gran Torino

I saw Clint Eastwood's newest movie Gran Torino and it is a must see.

I'm telling you, if this movie is not up for Oscars for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Actor I will be upset.  It was that good.

I am a fan of Clint Eastwood.  My favorite Eastwood movie is Unforgiven

Eastwood plays an old school widower who has a very rough time dealing with his new neighbors.  White flight has taken place in this Michigan town, but Eastwood didn't fly.  He stays back and grumbles about the people in an Archie Bunker type of manner.

I don't want to give away more details because I don't want to ruin it for anybody who hasn't seen it yet.

Bottom line, it's an amazing picture.  I put it in the Shawshank Redemption category.  Shawshank is a movie I will always stop and watch.  Not matter what it is on. HBO, TNT, doesn't matter.  I never get tired of watching that movie.

Grand Torino is the now in that category for me.
