EAT FOR CHARITY: Nine Green Room alumni are joining together to help out former chef James Pitzer, who lost his home to a fire this month. You can help too by attending this five-course benefit dinner prepared by some of the best chefs in town: Marc Cassel, Randall Copeland, David Uygur, Joel Harloff, Susan Fries, Garreth Dickey, Colleen O’Hare, Jeana Johnson, and Katie Brown. Get your hands on these limited reservations because they will disappear quickly. Reception starts at 6 p.m., Dinner at 7:15 p.m. $85.

HAPPY HOUR AFTER HAPPY HOUR: The helpful folks at Lumi Empenada are offering happy hour specials for those that can’t quite get out of work early enough to make it for the regular 4 to 6:30 p.m. specials. Fight through traffic and still have enough time to hit the gym before joining them for their reverse happy hour from 9 to 11 p.m., featuring $5 specialty cocktails like the Jalapeno Margarita and Elderflower Essence, and $4 empenadas, dumplings and eggrolls.
