Russo's, a Houston-based pizzeria, is currently undergoing a company-wide makeover. Menus are being revamped, logos are being redesigned and new staffers and being brought on board to help with the transition. Wine bar guru Chris DeMers (formerly of Dee Lincoln's Bubble Bar) has recently been hired as General Manager to help grow the chain's Dallas presence.
His first item on the agenda is to beef up the restaurant's vino program. "There are no great wine lists in Richardson," he says. "Everything around here tends to close up around 9 p.m., so my hope is to push our hours back and keep things going after dinner."
With that will come nightly specials starting in June (see below for full list; click the link if it doesn't automatically load), and weekly wine tastings highlighting different vineyards.
In addition, DeMers hopes to open three or four more Dallas locales, though leases have yet to be signed. Click through our slideshow to get to know the team that's going to help DeMers take Russo's to the next level. [The Feast]
