Mavericks Take on Bobcats Tonight

Dallas looks for back to back wins

The Dallas Mavericks go for back-to-back wins for the first time this season when they resume a three-game road trip tonight against the Charlotte Bobcats at Time Warner Cable Arena.

Dallas ended a five-game losing streak with Sunday's 124-114 overtime win against the New York Knicks in the opener of the trek at Madison Square Garden.

Dirk Nowitzki scored a season-high 39 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to lead the Mavericks, who are 3-3 on the road in 2008-09.

Josh Howard added season-highs of 31 points and 14 boards while Jason Terry registered 20 points off the bench in the victory.

Dallas won both meetings with the Bobcats last year to improve to 8-0 in the all-time series.

Charlotte has been held to under 100 points in every meeting.

Dallas will close out the road trip against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
