In a close-call 4 to 3 vote in Mansfield yesterday, the city council approved a tougher smoking ordinance for businesses.
One of the major provisions in the new law is the requirement that a business will have to fully enclose smoking areas and keep kitchens and bathrooms in non-smoking areas, or deem their business "adult only."
So what does this mean for smokers on the town in Mansfield? Probably not much. While the ordinance might have bigger effects on the Chili's, T.G.I. Fridays, or other family-friendly restaurants, bars and nightclubs can simply follow the "adult only" method and not have to worry about the new ordinance.
