Selena Gomez was met by adoring fans at Grapevine Mills Mall Tuesday evening.
There was some concern that Gomez may cancel the appearance after the Grand Prairie native and star of Disney's "Wizards of Waverly Place," canceled an appearance on Friday after she was hospitalized in Los Angeles last week.
The young starlet is returning home to promote her latest film, Monte Carlo, which arrives in theaters in July.
Gomez took part in a Q&A session with fans and before leaving told the audience, "I'm the luckiest girl in the whole world, I love you all so, so, so, so much, thank you."
Later she posted a picture of the crowd on her Facebook page with the caption: "What an amazing turnout in Texas!"
Her new CD "When the Sun Goes Down" hits stores June 28.
Gomez will return to North Texas in August for a live concert at Gexa Energy Pavilion on August 31.
