All-Star Voting Ends, Kinsler A Close Second

Close but no cigar

The final votes for the All-Star game roster are in and Texas Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler didn't make the cut.

Kinsler came in a close second with Detroit Tiger Brandon Inge grabbing the American League spot and Philadelphia Phillies Shane Victorino snatching the National League roster spot.

Kinsler was a second all day as fans made their feelings known. Voting ended at 3 p.m. Thursday.

There was added incentive to "Vote Kins,"  a lucky Rangers fan could win prizes from the ballclub.

The biggest prize in the "Ian Kinsler All-Star Game Final Vote Sweepstakes" is a suite for you and 19 of your friends at the Red Sox vs. Rangers game on July 21.

Another prize in the "2009 Last Chance to Vote Kinsler Sweepstakes" is the chance to win three autographed bats signed by Josh Hamilton, Michael Young, and who else, Ian Kinsler.
