KState Goes Throwback with Hiring of Snyder

69 year old Snyer returns to coaching

Bill Snyder will return as football coach of the Kansas State Wildcats for the second time.

Kansas State announced the appointment in a news release Monday morning.

A news conference was scheduled to introduce the 69-year-old Snyder as the new coach.

Snyder retired three years ago after turning around the football program at Kansas State in what has been called "the Miracle in Manhattan."

He left with a 136-68-1 record and was replaced by Ron Prince.

Prince was fired with three games left this season but finished out the schedule.
