The heated Golden Local debate over the Best Burger in DFW has come to an end with Kincaid's coming out on top with 60 percent of the votes on line.
Around Town correspondent Annie Potasznik presented the winner's certificate to Kincaid's Hamburgers owner Ron Gentry at the restaurant's original Camp Bowie location in Fort Worth.
Gentry thanked Kincaid's loyal customers from the Dallas-Fort Worth and surrounding areas.
"We really appreciate your loyalty, appreciate you thinking of us, taking the time to vote, it means a lot to us, means a lot to our employees who work real hard to provide the best customer services and quality they can every day."
3000 people voted for Kincaid's and more than 650 left comments on the Golden Local.
The first Kincaid's opened in Fort Worth in 1946 inside a grocery store that still stands today on Camp Bowie Blvd.
The restaurant boasts fresh beef cut and ground daily at each of its four locations, and it also uses Fort Worth's own Mrs. Baird's buns and Best Maid pickles and condiments.
Kincaid's has been named the "Best Burger in Texas" by Texas Monthly and Best Burger by Fort Worth, Texas magazine and Star-Telegram readers.
A fifth location will soon be opening in the new Alliance Town Center.
Congratulations to Kincaid's!
