If Jessica Simpson's put on a few pounds, it's only because she's happy. Simpson tells People magazine that she doesn't worry about her weight when she's happy.
And she says she's in a happy relationship with Tony Romo.
Simpson says Romo likes her body the way it is. She says Romo "would never say 'I think you need to lose some weight."' She says if he did, she "wouldn't be dating him."
Meanwhile, Ashlee Simpson is defending her sister for putting on a few pounds.
Ashlee Simpson writes on her MySpace blog she's "completely disgusted" by headlines about her sister's weight and finds it "embarrassing and belittling to all women."
She says she thought there was a feeling of hope in the country after the presidential inauguration, but she adds, "How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure?"
What the El!?! Editorial:
I have no problem with Jess gaining weight, I think it's fine, but I do have a problem with those jeans! I want women, my friends and the ones who are on TV or on stage to look their best. This was not a good look for Jess and she can look good.
One of my co-workers wondered if this "look" wasn't a play for headlines, we haven't really been talking about her lately have we?
