Cool Out Mondays have officially returned. The popular disco, funk, soul, and dance party that used to take place at the Cavern has moved to Bar Celine, the stylish lounge located behind Park Restaurant. We popped in last night and found that the weekly shindig had settled into its new posh digs rather nicely.
DJs Tony Schwa and Adam Pickrell host and provide the beats at the free event every Monday night from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.
"The one thing I care about is this," Schwa passionately told us as he pointed into the crowd at the dancing bodies. "That cat at the door... this dude bobbing his head... it's a family man." One attendee who overheard yelled back, "We like you too, Tony!"
Live musicians and other DJs will stop in for cameos to keep the crowd on their toes and the music fresh. DJ Sober was in the house last night, and next week's party will feature Luke Sardello. The vibe is swanky, yet relaxed and the bartenders are quick to pour. Speaking of, drink specials include $3 domestics and wells.
