Once again, proof that losing "American Idol" is still winning.

Runner-up Adam Lambert has a record deal. He's signed with 19 Recordings.

Lambert's debut album is due out in the fall.

What the El!?! Editorial:

Idol winner Kris Allen also inked his deal with 19 Recordings and Jive Records, his album is also supposed to come out in the fall.

I personally don't care about Kris' album, I'm waiting for Adam's album!

And for those who have no gay-dar, this announcement's probably for you. Adam Lambert's gay.

The "American Idol" runner-up makes the admission in Rolling Stone magazine.

Though he admits it shouldn't really come as a surprise to anyone. He says "I'm proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. It's just another part of me."

Lambert says he's not interested in being a poster child for gay rights. He says "I'm trying to be a singer, not a civil-rights leader."

I'm glad he came out so that people can stop talking about it. Move on, he just wants to be a singer!
