The save used for Matt Giraud wasn't a waste. He was safe this week on "American Idol."
Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai were kicked out, since two had to go this week.
Paula Abdul told Rounds, "What a classy way to go, singing at the top of your game."
Rounds has a small comfort in getting eliminated from "American Idol" last night: her husband got her a puppy.
Desai said he's disappointed he's leaving, but he added, "I have to look at the bright side, I'm going back to Chapel Hill."
Desai says his comfort in being eliminated is that Rounds was too, so they keep each other from "wallowing."
