Hot Launch: Dowdy Boutique Wagon

Dowdy Studio unveiled their mobile shopping experience this weekend; think of it as a fashion-oriented version of a food truck. But more figure-friendly and much more chic.

The Dowdy Studio Wagon made it's debut at Knox-Henderson's Gypsy Wagon this past Saturday, selling their uber-cool tees, messenger bags, and quirky jewelry.

The founders, newlyweds Pamela and Dylan Dowdy, remodeled the wagon themselves, adding wood floors, boutique-style shelving, and unique artwork and mirrors. The result is the perfect home for Dylan's custom screen printed tees and Pamela's jewelry.

The men's and women's tees are based on art and sketches done by one or both of the Dowdys, many of them musically-inspired, and the accessories pull from similar designs as well. Our favorites are the Geometry Art wooden pendant necklace and the "Music Is My Weapon" tee.

Want to get on the Wagon? They'll be in Austin next week from the 17-19; find them at Auditorium Shores, 920 W. Riverside Drive. On April 2, they'll be docked at Oak Cliff's Bolsa restaurant from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

And on April 9-10 they'll join other local artisans at IndieGenius for their indoor/outdoor event, The Bazaar.

Check their full schedule and shop their goods online through the Dowdy Studio website.
