Holiday Shopping at Wholesale Prices

It's pure paradise for deal hunters

On Friday morning, there was a line that looked like a day after Thanksgiving Day line.

Hundreds of people from all over are traveling to Dallas this weekend in search of deep discounts at Dallas Market Hall's annual sample sale.

Lacie May is shopping for her mother and says the line is worth it. "For the sales, I would because I'm a shopper. You've got a sale, you've got me," May said.

There is something for just about everyone -- shoes, clothes, jewelry and home decor.

Wendy Justice was shopping for her daughter.

"I've got a great dress, a burp rag for a girlfriend, a sweater, a couple dresses and one of these skirts," said Justice.

The skirts would normally retail for $100 in boutiques, but at the Dallas sample sale, they were priced at just $40.

For the second year, admission to the sample sale is free, and Dallas Market Hall expects to see record traffic.

"Some retailers are slighting below wholesale and many at wholesale prices," said Meredith Hite the public relations manager at Dallas Market Hall.
