La Calle Doce in Lakewood is reopening after an electrical fire extinguished business last August.
Rising from the ashes, the new interior will have a nautical theme in both color and décor. Most notable is the addition of a “Tequila Room” and larger bar. There’s nothing wrong with a little more room to booze and schmooze, right? Salud! In a press release, owner Laura Sanchez expressed her excitement in re-opening her popular Mexican Seafood restaurant.
”We were able to turn the fire into an opportunity to serve this great community better by updating our interior and adding new features,” said Sanchez.
La Calle Doce’s Coastal Mexican and Tex-Mex menu will stay the same. Known for its palatable mahi mahi fish tacos, seafood cocktails and fish soup -- La Calle Doce is a neighborhood favorite. Daily happy hour from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. will include $3 margaritas and draft beer for $2 to $3.
